Who are we? The Abilene High PTA is a qualified non-profit association organized exclusively for the charitable, scientific, literary or educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, providing valuable support to Abilene High School's students, faculty/staff, and parents. This is accomplished through the generous efforts of parents, volunteers, and community business partnerships, and in large part with funding made available through its annual membership drive and direct mailing campaign donation drive fundraiser. All contributions of any amount made by donors in excess of the membership dues are 100% tax deductible under Section 170(c)(2) of the Internal Revenue Code. |

Get Involved! Volunteer opportunities abound with offering PTA support for the AHS Student Council's Homecoming Dance concession stand, serving between 700 to 900 students at the beginning of the school year and serving approximately 1,500 students and guests from both high schools (at the Abilene Civic Center) who have became graduates along with their invited friends during the annual Project Graduation Party for the culmination of a student's public high school education experience. |

Member Benefit Providers Additionally, because of the size of our organization, the Abilene Community Council PTA is able to partner with local businesses and negotiate special discounts and other valuable benefits exclusively for PTA members. When you make purchases from these companies, please present your PTA card at the time you place your order. Council PTA has worked diligently to establish relationships with additional Member Benefit Providers to provide you with even more exclusive benefits in other categories than what was available last year.
